Street style

One of the things that I love about The Pink Peony are all the different types of clients that we have. All of them in their own way and in their different styles share our passion for sleek manicures and pampered hands. On this weeks post I wanted to share the looks of some of our clients and their nailpolish choices which reflect this Spring’s color trends.

From left to right: María chose “Capri” by Essie, a fiery hot creamy orange. Carlota from the blog The Goorgeous opted for a classic red by OPI. Gemma for a dark OPI “Eurso Euro” indigo blue.

On the second row Patricia, went for a “Forever Yummy” Essie red. Natalia who loves contrasting colours chose “Peach Daiquiri” by Essie to contrast her yellow purse and blue printed dress. Jessie decided to give a girly touch to her biker look with “My Chihuahua Bites!” by OPI.

Andl finally Eli keeps her busy agenda updated with a stylish “California Raspberry” by OPI. Carolina matched her lipstick with Essie’s “Too Too Hot” red. And last but not least, Xisca chose a bright “Mango Bango” by Essie.

Thank you all for sharing your looks on my blog.

New OPI nail polish collection at The Pink Peony salons

Categories The Pink Peony

I am never very keen on following the latest trends, preferring a more low key take on fashion, but it is true that at the beginning of each season the desire to renew and enhance my wardrobe with some new detail always arises. That same feeling of anticipation and excitement happens with the arrival of the new nail polish collections at The Pink Peony salons.

The new shades of the OPI nail polish, one of our favorite brands, have just arrived and their color chart is bursting with fun and stylish tones. Euro Centrale is the name of the new OPI spring summer collection, inspired by central Europe, one of the greatest artistic creative cribs. The passion of its artists is reflected in the bright hues, exuberant and passionate tones and with the eccentric names with which OPI surprises us each season.

The fuchsia is Suzi’s Hungary AGAIN, Emerald green is Can’t Find my Czechbook, the spicy red is My Paprika is Hotter than Yours, and my favorite, the electric blue is… I Saw…U Saw…We Saw…Warsaw.

PEONY de SY at the Foment del Treball

Categories The Pink Peony

A few days ago I had the opportunity to participate in the second edition of the cycle Reinventa’t: transforma i crea, organized by the Foment del Treball, at its amazing headquarters on the Via Layetana. The round table was the presentation of different successful business projects based in Barcelona that work with the 5 human senses.

It was an enriching experience in which I contributed with my business vision of the beauty industry and explained my own personal experience as an entrepreneur in Barcelona being a foreigner.

As Joaquim Montellà Gay, president of Foment del Treball stated, I also believe that entrepreneurs help to contribute to the economy by creating innovate businesses which help to generate more wealth and employment. As a woman entrepreneur I loved having the presence of other entrepreneurs like Marta Alonso, Visual Brand Communication and co-founder of Instagramers Network and Marta Marti, president of the Comisión de Nuevas Empresas of the Foment del Treball, who moderated the debate.

To end some images from this positive initiative in which I appear along with the other participants of the debate;  Salvador Rey from The Pinker Tones (hearing), Marta Alonso from Visual Brand Communication and Instagramers Network (sight), Jordi Mas from Mas Gourmet (taste) and Lluís Pallejà from Concentrats Palleja (smell)

Deep Cleansing Facial at The Pink Peony

Categories The Pink Peony

Regular exfoliation has multiple benefits for the skin, but sometimes it is not enough exfoliating once a week at home, this is why I like to recommend to my clients a Deep Cleansing Facial every three months, or at the beginning of each season, in order to remove impurities, even the most deeply rooted.

My beauty philosophy is based on a holistic approach that considers the person as a whole, and that is why the facial treatments offered at The Pink Peony salons are more than skin deep. The Deep Cleansing Facial is a wellness ritual to relax, nourish and revive the entire body and soul which stimulates and enhances the ability of healing and skin improvement.

My last deep cleaning session was before the Christmas holidays so this week I left a gap in my agenda to enjoy, for over an hour, a facial treatment which has left my skin shine-free, rid of impurities and without a trace of enlarged pores.

From the moment you begin you feel as if you’ve stepped into a sanctuary of tranquility, and after a lavender hand and foot bath you are ready for the deep cleansing facial which combines different massages with the application of multiple products adapted to your skin’s needs. In this facial we use only Dr. Haushka products, a brand which is 100% organic certified and which is regularly included in The Pink Peony treatments.

Deep Cleansing Facial a true luxury ritual for the senses

The facial begins with a gentle cleanse and exfoliating cream to remove the remnants of makeup and other products, so the face is ready for a steam bath and hot towel to open up pores making extraction easier. During this process the eyes and lips are protected with an eye contour and lip balm and to ensure extra hydration to these delicate parts.

Once the skin is free of impurities and whilst a purifying mask is being applied, a gentle massage on hands, arms and legs is performed to release accumulated stress. The last stage of the treatment involves a light lymphatic massage which leaves the face ready for the final toning and moisturizing, stimulating the skin and its regulatory functions, refining pores and providing enhanced firmness and elasticity. This is a true luxury ritual for the senses that will leave a feeling of wellbeing, relaxation and calm.

I sincerely recommend this treatment and also during the month of March we will be giving a Dr. Haushka travel set after your Deep Cleansing Facial, so that you can try the cleansing and moisturizing treatments which best suit your skin at home.
